IMOCA is delighted to announce an open call for NLA: IMOCA’s annual exhibition of New Living Art. We are inviting artists working in any media to propose works or projects for inclusion in this year’s showcase. This might include pieces that have been exhibited previously (in Ireland or abroad) as well as proposals for new works to be made specifically for the context of IMOCA.

Everybody is welcome: artists, designers, artisans, zine-makers and musicians who are passionate about contemporary art. No ideas are too big or too small: if it excites us, we will exhibit it.

Submission Process:

Step 1:You can download the application form here.

Setp 2: Please include JPEGs of up to 300k (if submitting by email) or photos (if submitting a hard copy). Written descriptions of work of up to 400 words will also be accepted when appropriate with the completed form. Online submissions should be send to submissions@imoca.ie or delivered personally to the IMOCA office at PLANE / SITE Galleries at Moxie Studios on Saturdays between 12 – 4pm.

Submission Guidelines:

€10 registration and admistrative fee covers up to 2 entries. 4 entries per artist max. Deadline September 9, 2011.

Completed registration forms and proposals can be submitted online, by post or delivered personally to the IMOCA office at PLANE / SITE Galleries at Moxie Studios on Saturdays between 12 – 4pm.

For site-specific performance, installation etc., IMOCA will provide a letter of support and sponsorship, however, the artist is responsible for acquiring the location.

For electronic media the artist is responsible for any equipment necessary for display [monitors, projectors, etc.]

Neither IMOCA nor PLANE / SITE Galleries accept any responsibility for artwork or equipment left or exhibited within the venue.

Work not collected by the date announced to participating artists may be result in storage charges, or may be disposed of as seen fit.

Applying for exhibition grants IMOCA shared copyright to display credited images online and in any printed material

There will be no commission charged on any sales.
